sorry Kriss, we haven't used them either, just use 4 delta pegs for the guy ropes and the 'big nail' type hammer in pegs for the rest of the awning. We always use a claw hammer rather than a mallet to knock them in.

Hi Kriss, we use them all the time they are so easy. I bought the Wurmi ones. I think they were the only ones around at the time. I have since bought some more only metal ones this time. I got those at the NEC. Towsure I think.I havent used them yet. I think the clips on the metal ones will be better . I will use them when we are away on the 18th and report back. Regards Robin

Hi Lunnie, i have seen the delta pegs, looks like you have a more bigger area to hit the pegs in, so they may go in better. Hi GlenW, good idea using a "proper" hammer instead of a light weight tent peg hammer, takes me ages, well seems like it.... Hi Robin, do you use them on hardstanding, I love a gadget, so just looking for what looks ok for my budget... I will keep you posted Thankyou

I have only had occasion to use them once on hardstanding and they were ok. It was a sort of chalky hardstanding. To be honest I always request a grass pitch as I prefer it.

Well I used the metal screw in pegs all last week at Norman's Bay. They are an improvement on the plastic ones as the clips are a great deal better. They are Pyramid metal screwpegs. They are so easy with an electric drill. I luv 'em. Reverse the drill to remove them. Saves quite a lot of sweat and as I have Angina they are a godsend. Regards Robin

Regards Robin I just have to ask - do you use a hammer drill??? ;D More serious note: We have heard reference to 'stone pegs' but a search reveals nothing - are these just big stones to weigh down bits or special pegs? Replies before April 1st please Colin
