I have removed the April Fools joke thread now but you asked a couple of questions so I thought I would answer them here.
Pauline didn't have time to put a counter on so we don't really know how many people tried it out, perhaps folks will come on and tell us.
Regarding having to re-enter your password I don't think that is anything to do with the forum, it is probably that your computer has lost its cookie. Depending on what browser you use you might get a little pop up box that asks you if you want to remember the password for this site, so you need to press the button "remember". We use firefox and a little panel comes up at the top of the screen.
