Hi Ellie, I use Sureterm www.sureterm.com/ it costs me just over £230.00 per year but this includes legal cover, breakdown cover, goods in the camper and window screen cover. They KNOW that it is a demountable and are more than happy to cover them. I found them really helpful and would not hesitate to recommend them. Hope this helps Cheers Dave

we used campton brokers (01883 742460), they assured us that we were covered as either a campervan or as a pick-up if we demounted the back. I can't remember how much the policy was but when I called adrian flux to get a quote and told them how much my other quote was, they told me to "snatch their hands off".

I know what you mean, I had quotes ranging from £200.00 up to £800.00 for less cover than the lower ones. You do have to shop around, I cannot believe that there is so much difference in quotes from one company to the other. .com Dave

Thanks Dave and Glen! Last year I was paying more insurance for my 20 yr old demountable, than my 3ltr, 7 seater shogun. (four new tyres and a full tank of petrol for that was worth more than the Roma ) And I had it on a maximum 6k miles a year. And it was parked in the drive! Both myself and partner have in excess of 8 yrs no claims each. Both over 40 and I couldn't understand the premium. our last camper van the insurance was negligible! Thanks again! Sunshine1 Ellie

I think I pay about £200. I was *amazed* at some of the quotes for a 1 litre camper, value sub £2k. They wanted more than my v6 3 litre Japanese import modded MR2 sports car!

Hi Marc4242, When I rang Roma home, to dicuss a donor engine ,re what was suitable. Brian Bailey, identified it was a mark 2 from the constuction number in the orginal paper work. It was 1988 ,June when It was purchased by the previous owner. Who do you insure your demountable with? So Sooty is 21 yrs old this summer! Sunshine1 Ellie

I'd still like to see a document on the history of the various pods. It would be useful if it showed pick up compatibility too. The same as Glen - Campton. Snowdrop is 20 years old so far ... Marc
