Hi Ant The 12v socket at the N/S rear appears to be dead (Mk.1 Dimension) I think I have used this socket before but have since done a mod. & put a identical item near the O/S front door direct to the 2nd. battery saved having a cable trailing across the floor whilst watching the box did the same with the aerial.
The thing is if the fuse has blown on the rear socket what supply does it come off of, I've checked the ones where the 2nd. bat. is & they are OK. I didn't want to pull any of the main fuse in the cab until I was sure where the fuse would be. Many thanks Regards Pete

Hi Pete. All depends on the age of your Dimension. The first batch or so had the 12volt socket wired from a Citroen feed that came from a fuse under the dash. Latterly they put their own direct feed in from the leisure battery, this would have had an in line fuse from the battery not a blade fuse in the main block. Has anything else of Citroens stopped working, internal lights, cigar lighter, etc that will give you a clue as to which fuse has blown. With the modern multiplex wiring there's always more than one thing on each fuse. Ant

Hi Ant It's a 55 model I checked the blade fuses in the 2nd bat. compartment also the three inline direct off of the battery I did notice that one was corroded but other than that all appeared intact.
As far as the rest of the electrics all seem to be working OK. I could take the component off the wall & check the wiring if the there is enough slack, I had problems with the hookup socket once & the cables were very short not much free movement at all it seems that Romahome tend too cut corners abit too save on materials I've found this with all the trim on the panels. Regards Pete

Pete. If you have 3 in line fuses on the 2nd battery one comes from the mains charger, one comes from the zig panel and the third is either your blown air heating ( if you've got it) or the 12volt socket. Some may have had the socket wired via the "aux" switch on the Zig. I've actually got a customer coming Tuesday pm with the same problem so I might learn something then. Ant

Hi Ant Thanks for info. I'm going too make up a long lead & do a continuity check from the socket too the 2nd battery compartment looking at the circuit diagram doesn't seem too make sense I could always make sense of aircraft hydraulic system diagrams but electrics I just can't puzzle out.
I look forward to hearing from you if your able too sort your Tues. booking out. Regards Pete

Hi Ant Did you get any where with that identical fault to mine?.
I tried too remove the socket to check the cable color but it seems that there is no slack possibly due too the TV cable I tried a volt meter on the socket & got rather a queer reading 0.002V on the 20V DC scale I beginning too wonder if it's been wired so it only works when on hookup.
I'm going off this W/E so I'll check it out.
Regards Pete

Hi Pete. sorry for the delay in coming back to you I've been sidetracked with an accident damage repair. The problem on Tuesday was with the Inline fuse near the battery. I took it out and it looked fine, not blown or burnt but on closer inspection the ends had a very fine crust of corrosion, the metre test showed no problem but when i measured how many volts were actually getting through the fuse it was onlt 1.5v a new fuse and some vaseline cured the problem. I suspect your strange voltage is the same problem. Ant

Hi Ant You hit the nail on the head the fuse was corroded but being that I didn't have a fuse of that size 8amp? I managed too polish up the ends & will replace at the earliest opportunity.
Thanks alot for your help. Pete
