Hi Ant, I have a Duo-Hylo, 2003, 2.0 HDI. The exhaust has broken away behind the rear silencer box. I took the van to kwik fit, who said they were unable to help me, as It was not a standard Citreon exhaust. I have had the van from new, so it must be the original one. Do you know what exhaust it is ? Thanks, Alan.

Hi Alan. Your rear box is a Citroen standard box, Romahome have to extend the tail pipe to ensure the exhaust fumes are blown clear of the extended body. If the the Romahome extension has rotted off ( very common after a few years) all you need is a new extension rather than a complete box. I'd take it to a small garage and ask if they can make up an extension for you. Or you can order an extension direct from Romahome. I doubt you need a complete box unless the tail pipe has snapped off right at the rear of the box. If you do then a standard Citroen box will fit, you'll just need to get the tail pipe extended. That sometimes means cutting a bit of the tail pipe off so you're left with a straight bit to fit the extension. Thanks Ant

Hi Alan
I took my modded sports car to kwik-fit, who were helpful in telling me some gaskets had gone, but couln't help with fixing it - maybe they prefer standard vehicles - I took it to Hi-Q who solved it for me.

Thanks for that. I gave the exhaust a rap, coming off a ferry across Windermere, at least I think thats what the bump was at the rear end. I checked for damage and couldn't see anything. 400 miles later the pipe behind the box has broken. All the best Alan.
