Not sure if this is the right place for this query as it's not very technical. Our Outlook has an on-board waste water tank and a fixed sink which we find is very slow to drain. Presumably this is because there's nowhere for the air to get out as the water goes in. Has anyone with the same problem found a solution?
Thanks

Hi Barbara. The waste pipe has to run almost horizontally until it has passed over the gas locker, if you only put about an inch of water in your sink there is very little "head" of water to get the drain going. If you half fill the sink it will or should drain much quicker. If you find it doesn't then you may have a slight kink in the pipe as it turns to go down through the floor around the gas locker. If you look in the seat locker next to the sink you can remove the trim panel and see the pipe just where it starts to turn. Ant

We had exactly the same problem on our Berlingo HyLo. Eventually we found that there IS an overflow/vent outlet from the waste tank. Feeling inside the tank, there were TWO holes at the top back of the tank, one being the inlet from the sink and the other being a vent. I used an electrical cable and managed to insert some 6 feet before hitting the blockage. Outside, I found a small rubber tube protruding from the sill just behind the passenger door. This was blocked with road dirt. Having cleaned it out, the sink drained immediately. As a test, we filled the sink, replaced the inspection cover on the tank and removed the sink plug. The sink started draining but by putting a thumb over the end of the outside rubber tube, draining was stopped immediately, remove thumb, out went the water This was covered earlier smallmotorhome.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=technicaldiscussion&action=display&thread=1654Hope this helps
