Hi Pauline and Graham
Thank you for running such a helpful site which seems to attract equally friendly helpful members.
I have just aquired a Samsung NC10 netbook to use on my travels also installed a wireless router at home. When I try to log in on the forum via the netbook using wireless router on home computor it comes up with automatic login info but will not let me in always returns to welcome guest mode. This also happens when I am using Vodaphone dongle. I am not very computor wise so would welcome assistance.
Hope you are all enjoying your meet!

Hi Lizzie
We are having a great meet thanks, everyone is really lovely, made lots of new friends. You should have come then we could have sorted your problem on site ;D.
Pauline and I have had a good think about this and read your post several times, we're not quite sure what is causing your problem but Pauline suggested clearing your cache and cookies but bear in mind when you clear your cookies all your automatic log ins will have to be entered again.
Hope this works for you Lizzie, best of luck.

Hi Lizzie,
The other possibility is that your browser is not permitting cookies to be set. You need to 'accept cookies' from this site to login to it.
Just a guess!

Thank you all for your suggestions. I would have loved to have joined you at the meet but unfortunately I still work full - time with unsociable hours so at present am rather limited.
I have tried both suggestions with the support of my computorhead friend but with no success.
Any more ideas gratefully received!
Lizzie.

Hi Lizzie Is it just our site that you are having the problem on, or does it happen on others that you try to log into?

Hi Lizzie
This is really baffling but we have had another thought and wonder if your netbook has somehow got hold of the wrong password info?
Does it come up with this message when you get back to the welcome guest page "Wrong username or password entered" perhaps you could try manually retyping the username and password again rather than trusting the automatic password that the netbook puts in, as I say its possible that its somehow got hold of the wrong password and/or username
Hope that makes sense.
Graham
