Hi there, I have found the beds in the auto-sleeper very hard. I like a firm bed but not that firm. The thing is it has had very little use despite its age that the foam isnt bedded in. At the moment I am putting the seats on my settee at home trying to soften them up a bit. I dont want to use foam topper or extra sleeping bags as I have not got the space to store them. If all else fails I will have to get the foam replaced but there are 4 things to re-foam and so far the quote I had is 35-40 pounds each. Any suggestions anyone please? regards Robin

We use a duvet on our beds - a single one cut in half is fine for the single beds and if we want a double bed we can put them side by side. They don't take up much space and you could always put a cover on them and use them as cushions during the day.

Like Wendy we used a duvet in our duo when the beds were hard.
Also, if you put it in a duvet cover then that acts as a sheet and you don't have to carry a bottom sheet for the bed - assuming you use sheets and duvets that is.

Wow, am I having a busy day, replied to three threads,Re hard beds, Pat & I invested in the 1'' Memory Foam in our HiTop, we bought 2x Single bed size and find its the answer to the hard beds. They fit up in the Luton when travelling and we wouldn't be without them. We've just got back from our 'apartment in Truro',where we spent last night 'wild camping' loved it. Jack & Patty

I know all about hard beds as I can't sleep on one due to the pressure pain they cause! The best solution I think is either memory or 'egg-box' foam. If you cut these to the size of your foam seats and make a cover out of an old sheet or something, they can simply stay on top of your present seats and you can sit on them during the day as well. As they are only 1-2" thick, you won't even notice them and they won't be in the way. Or you could just put them underneath the seats during the day to store. I hope you find a solution, Robin! ... on my bed at home, I have a 2" egg box and a 2" memory foam on top of that and still have probs, I'm like the princess and the pea!

Something have noted in my research into motorhomes was a raskelf's is it do some memory foam toppers and in particular a duvet arrangement designed for motorhome use... Perhaps a solution? www.raskelf.com/duvalay.htm. Thought it was an excellent idea.
