Thoroughly enjoying our new Outlook, still trying to come to grips with carrying things in the back though.
Yesterday, we purchased 3 bags of compost from the garden centre along with some plants. The plants were not heavy and were put beside the fridge. The compost was bulky and we struggled to get it into the back, the width would not allow it to go flat. (We carry tarpaulins to cover the upholstery/carpets)
How would other Romahomers deal with this? Would you put the compost in the passenger side of the vehicle etc. Tips would be appreciated. That is the only thing we miss with a side opening door vehicle.
Thanks in anticipation.

Why would you need to take compost and plants away with you! Leave them at home, I say and relax.
I would not be allowed to load this kind of thing in our little treasure, husband would rather I carried it home on my back!
Seriously, not sure how best to load large things but would cover seats very well and with strong dust sheets.
Glad you are enjoying your Outlook.

Our Ruby is the only vehicle we have - we have a large tarpaulin from b&q which we double over for extra protection which we use to cover everything and do have to put it in the back - we are shortly moving and are intending to have a large compost heap so we won't need to buy compost in future Although it can be a bit of a pain getting the odd larger / heavy things in the amount we save by running just one vehicle outweighs odd moments of inconvenience Barbara

Hello Barbara, Ours is our only vehicle as well, we have found we just make more trips if wanting to buy things which need to be carried. It is just the loading of bulky items we are finding a problem. We have 4 compost bins - and we still need to buy compost for seeds and potting up plants (We have a VERY large garden!) You may still need the bought stuff as well........... Margaret

hi, try this, put the double bed up but reverse the cushions i.e upside down .Then put your tarp over the wooden surface. the table, folded flat, can incline from bottom of the doorwell just inside the door to the bed, making a ramp you can push or pull items up.Someone needs to be on the bed to pull. Hope this all makes sense.
