Romahomes seen on our recent tour of Scotland included - 1. Dimension on site at Bunree CC site when we arrived on 26th April, it left the next morning before we could speak to anyone. 2. Two C15's on site at Kinlochewe CC site when we arrived 10th May, one had an Isle of Man registration. We left early the following morning without seeing the occupants. 3. A Dimension and an R40 on site at Dunnet Bay CC site 14th May. We spoke with the Dimension people as they were packing up to leave, but did not have a chance to speak to the R40 crew. 4. An Outlook and a Quartet at Edinburgh CC site 25th and 26th May. i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee150/barry5933/Romahome/DSCN7944.jpgThe first time I have seen a Quartet in the flesh, but I did not see the occupants of either 'van. Various other Romahomes, Outlooks, HyLos and C15s were seen on the road, but my notes have been "mislaid" (probably binned as scrap by the management). More than one de-mountable was seen on Skye, in front garden/croft yards, mostly looking abandoned or neglected. We were in a Dimension with a bike rack on the back and a movelite awning erected on some sites. Give a shout if any of these sightings were you.

Hi Barry,
Looking at the dates and places you were travelling, we might have been one of the C15 hi tops you saw on your travels. Two women waving madly? Probably us!

Hello Barry,
the Dimension was us! As well as the R40, there was a C15 at Dunnet a few days previously - almost a Romahome 'meet'!

Hi there Sid,
Nice to hear from you. From your location, I see that you were even further from home than us (Essex). I trust that you had a successful continuation of your travels.
Slightly off topic, with your Sussex local knowledge, can you recommend any super sites around the Hastings area, SWMBO is keen to take a mini-break in that direction.
Barry

Hi Barry,
Sorry, I've no knowledge of sites around Hastings - we are on the other side of the county, near Bognor, and I've never ventured over that way in the van!
After Dunnet we went down to Cullen in Moray for a week. It was a lot quieter than the North Coast. I was amazed to find the Dunnet site full in mid-May. Last year we were there over the Bank Holiday weekend and it was around half empty.
Haven't been away since getting back, unfortunately - a day after our return I had a detached retina and have been going to and from the hospital ever since. Not much fun, but at least it didn't happen while we were 700 miles away!

It doesn't bear thinking about if it had happenned before you got home. We do tend to take our health for granted, always assuming that problems only happen to "other people". Get well soon, Barry
