Hi Ant Our C15 van has a towbar attached and as we are not going to use it we would like to remove it. Especially because my partner keeps catching his trousers on it and falling flat on his face when he is exiting the van. ;D Just wondering if the electrical cable that is there is important for anything or if we can just unscrew the towbar and be done with it? As you can tell, im clueless when it comes to these things. Thanks

Hi Fabrabbit. To remove the actual tow bar would just be a case of undoing the bolts, remember to re-seal the holes in the back step otherwise you'll get road spray coming in. Also when you remove the bolts from the side chassis members you'll be left with holes that will let the wet into the chassis box section, if possible you need to fill the holes with a grommit or sealant ( do it on a dry day so not damp gets sealed in). The electrics were taken from a rear light, follow the cable from the tow bar and remove the light they go to and you'll see where they were connected, simply cut them off the main loom to the lights and tape up the wires to the lights. There will be at least one wire that is taken across to the otherside for the indicator, just cut it off with the others and leave the extra wire in situ. Ant
