I am looking for a decent bonnet for my (K registered) Citoen C15 Hi top camper van. Please state price. I am in Mid Derbyshire.

I am looking for a decent bonnet for my (K registered) Citoen C15 Hi top camper van. If you Google "body panels" you'll find lots of places which sell aftermarket panels. I forget what I paid for my replacement bonnet a couple of years ago but I think it was about £40. It's much easier than getting a second-hand one which is almost certain to have some corrosion. There were only two drawbacks for me to do it this way. One was that it was delivered in black primer which meant that it took several coats to get a decent white finish. The biggest problem though was refitting the black plastic trim. What I know now - but even my local Citroen main agent didn't know - is that the bonnet has a couple of small protrusions which the trim clips onto. If your bonnet, like mine was, is rusted away under the trim, then these studs will have rotted away. The replacement bonnet doesn't have them (you could buy from Citroen of course, but that will cost an arm and a leg). Once I'd worked out what was supposed to happen I just put the trim in place, drilled through both it and the bonnet, and used a couple of black trim fixings from Halfords. You have to look hard to see them. If you really want to finish the job off nicely, Island Plastics will sell you the decal to re-apply the diagonal stripe. |

I will print this and give it to the mechanic so he can have a look at it.
My original is not too badly corroded but it has got some rust under the trim and the trim is just starting to come adrift.

On occasions the drain holes get blocked, well that's what I thought it was.
Maybe a nappy is needed !
Soon be winter, then I'll need cotton wool to keep the baby warm !!!
I'll get me shawl. He He. I can't find a smily face or I would include one.
