' A new product is on the way later this year to augment our four vehicle range - contrary to rumours it is not a replacement for the evergreen and ever popular R20 but will be sold alongside it.'
A quote from the latest edition of Freeborn Group News. So now we know , or rather we don't! So what is it?
It will be launched at the new Love Travel Club inaugural meeting at the end of September, the Club is for customers of Romahome on the IOW, Freeborn Motorhomes in Godalming or the Romahome Centre in Southampton and seems to cover any make of motorhome sold by them. Not a rival to the Roma club then as it is only customers and could be any make of motorhome.
Interesting times.

The R25 has been in the design stage for the last six months. It will be built on the new Berlingo platform cab and a bit longer, wider and higher than the R20. Inside there will be more storage room, four forward facing seats, a much bigger kitchin and a clever shower/loo. It will have its press launch at the October NEC and, as you rightly say, a VIP preview for Freeborn Group customers at Loseley Estate near Guildford two weeks before the NEC. This is to save many people a trip to Birmingham and test customer reaction before its national launch. The R20 Hylo and Outlook models are currently enjoying more sales success than ever so Romahome are investigating the possibility of converting the Berlingo First van(not the new shape) which would allow production to continue on both models for as long as Citroen keep the model in their production plans. We are aware that 'size matters' and big isn't always best for Romahome owners which is another reason to keep the R20's going. The market segment for every day driveable vehicles which are still big enough to use as motorhomes is growing constantly. Probably a reaction to the general economic uncertainty, the rising price of fuel and the depreciation of sterling making a UK 'staycation' attractive. Even at the five metre size of the R10 we have been astonished by the high levels of enquiries and orders. As for the 'Love Travel Club' this is for motorhome customers, whatever the make and model, of the Freeborn Group. It should complement and not compete with the Roma Club. Interesting times, yes, exciting times-definitely!
