wind deflectors & silver screen letting in water

has any one had this problem, we were in cardigan last weekend and it threw it down for 24 hours, i have wind deflectors on my berlingo i also had my silver screens on, the next day when the rain stopped i went to get the big sights book out of the passenger door side pocket and the book was ruined wet through.
I think It has to be because of the wind deflectors, or maybe not, anyone had this happen to them?

We have the same set up and leave the front windows slightly open for ventilation but do not get any water leaks

I had a leaky side window, but couldn't see where it was coming in until I got my Dad to direct a hosepipe at it. Then I fixed it with clear mastic. Maybe this would help - at least you'd know where it was coming in? JayJay
