I have been scanning ebay for weeks and weeks and weeks after a cheap mixer for my guitar/amp/loop pedal combo, and in the end decided to buy one new at £45 inc postage. I needed one that would not only stand as a mixer for a live performance, but also to record to my computer with as well...
The minute I ordered it, one came up (second-hand but not used much) with a £20 buy it now option and £6 postage. Most of the mixers on ebay are going for around £35-odd, so I thought, pay £45 and get a new one, for one thing, there's a years warranty on it.
And I could have got one for £26 - doesn't it make you want to just SPIT!
So now I have a Behringer Zenix 502 mixer - and glorious is the sound too! (not sure the neighbours would agree tho!). Perhaps it's better to pay the full price on some things though, this has 12 months warranty on it.
Sods law works another way for me, if ever I see anything I want on eBay its always "Buyer Collects" and its always the other end of the country. I am begining to wonder if I am the only motorcaravanner living in London, there are no caravan dealers in our capital city, no demand Im told!!!
it usually happens to me too but we were really lucky when we needed a holding pool for the koi for when we moved - i found one on e bay rrp £400+ with the accessories and it was a 25 minute drive away from where we were ( last club meet) i bought it for under £70 the week before nd we picked it up on the Saturday (good job Dave didn't know it was in the awning he might have pinched it and set it up as a swimming pool by his van) wonder what i can buy next time - i liked the pigmy goats or maybe ducks !!!!!!
