Overworked, underpaid etc etc

Hi All,

Well right, that's it. I'm totally fed up with work! Me and my partner have managed to get a week off in August and we're off! ;D Praying for good weather and setting off this Friday. Wish us luck! Going for the west coast of Scotland (weather permitting) and then some nice beach, probably on the Moray coast (it's our favourite for beaches).

Hope everyone else is having a good summer in their vans.

There's a superb beach in Dumfries & Galloway, at Sandhead on the west coast of the lowlands! There's water and loos there, so you could wild camp a night or two - I was last there in a car, but noted the beach etc for later! Follow the A75 to Stranraer and look for the B7084 to Sandhead to get there. Also Port Patrick (great harbour!) and Port Logan (famous for the 2000 Acres of Sky series) a bit further on. And campsites around there too.

Hi Sooz, hope you have a great time and the weather stays fine, there's a lovely C&CC site at Rosemarkie on the Moray Firth, you can even see dolphins from the beach.

Thanks all for the best wishes and suggestions. I'm sure we'll have a great time wherever we go and whatever the weather. Will let you know of how this wee adventure goes when we get back.
