Hi I know I bored people silly with the trials and tribulations of trying to find a new 'van with the 'right' compromises, but I've finally found and bought one :-) It's a short wheel base Fiat Ducato based self-build that I bought on eBay. It needed a bit of work doing on it, including a cam belt replacement, and a few bits that were important to me, like parking sensors and seat swivels, but I did manage to get my onboard shower :-) The only real compromise was that I can't carry onboard waste water, so have to use a separate waste hog outside. I still have a few bits and pieces of 'finessing' to do, but that will have to wait until my old Hytop sells! I've been out in it, (haven't decided yet whether it's a her or a him), twice already, to a lovely peaceful Certified Location on a farm and next door to a nature reserve, just about 15 miles up the road. Was hoping to get out more this week, but the weather has been atrocious around here. Let's hope it's better at the weekend! Anyway, enjoy the pics and I hope I'm still 'small' enough to be on the message board!! ;-) Jane img34.imageshack.us/img34/9043/bvmm9q2kkgrhgohdmejlllva.jpgimg34.imageshack.us/img34/8691/bvmngmqwkkgrhgohdkejlll.jpgimg34.imageshack.us/img34/7268/bvmnpubgkkgrhgohdmejlll.jpg

Hi Janeyjane
Your van sounds lovely, unfortunately I can't view the pictures yet as we are away using our dongle and for some reason it won't let us view some pictures, I think we've got to register or something, I'll have to sort that out.
We are called small motorhome forum but really we don't have any size constraints so keep coming on and keep us up to date with your adventures we love reading them and aren't a bit bored, its all useful info for people.
I look forward to seeing the pics when we get back home tonight.

That looks very nice - so light and airy. Perhaps post a pic of the whole van when you can?
I'm sure that you can still belong here as you are only the same size as the Dimension and smaller than an R40.
Have lots of fun with your new toy.
