I feel like I want to make an announcement, hope you all do not mind. I am at a very exciting time I have given in my notice to my job in order to retrain as a nurse. This will take 3 months over which I will not have an income . However when I have finished I will be in a position to think of moving and then...... I will be able to hopefull be able to get my first motorhome! ;D ;D It is a bit traumatic as I have worked in my current job for over 10 years, but the time has come....

Oh Sue of course we don't mind!
What an exciting time for you, is it something you have always wanted to do? I imagine it will be daunting with no income but surely there will be help out there for someone training for such a dedicated career?
Good luck and keep us posted on how it is going and if you need any 'patients' to practice on we can always arrange a special meet ;D

Marvellous news, it must be a little daunting after 10 years but I am sure you will have made the right decision. All the very best of luck and lets hope you will be able to come to a future meet and show us all your new motorhome.

Gosh Sue, that's a very brave move and I'm sure it's the right one for you! I wish you every success, not that you'll need it, I just know you will do it, with distinctions! ;D
let us know how you're going on over the next few months, won't you? That's if you ever get your nose out of a book or off the internet research... my Sis retrained as a nurse and I know how many hours she put into research and reading all the books!

just became more exciting... I have just been shortlisted for another job. My reason to return to nurse training was to gain some clinical experiance again to find a role that combined technical ability with clinical experiance.... well I put a punt in for this job not expecting to hear anymore. It is for a Retinopathy Screener grader.... to explain, this is somebody that screens eyes, main target diabetics, for signs of degenerative changes that if untreated would ultimately cause blindness. My job would be take photographs of the inside of people's eyes and then analysise them. Anyway I am shortlisted I cannot believe it...... My Life is changing dramatically.

Wow! Shortlisted in these economical times, eh? Sounds like you're worth your weight in gold, my girl - you just don't know it yet! CONGRATS! I hope you make it right to the top of that shortlist!

Currently in September I have two children starting university at the same time in two opposite directions, not arranged university before.. One is dyslexic and just discovered I will have to pay for an education psychology assessment(Ithought uni would do it)..... in the next three weeks somehow. I have to sort them out... I have to prepare a presentation for an interview also September... and then also prepare for a nursing course starting in September... Plus my old work place are being very supportive and sorting me out part time work so I can live... actually they have been really helpful.
