We took our grandchildren on their first camping trip last week. We chose a Caravan Club site quite near where they live in Brighton, just in case they didn't like it and got home sick.
The weekend was a great success the kids, Granddaughter nearly 6 and Grandson 5 slept like logs at night, they didn't miss their telly, or DS's (whatever they are) one bit.
One night Pauline had made pizza for tea when Grandson pipes up "I don't like pizza Granny", so quick as a flash Granny said "Ok then I'll make you cheesy bread squares". When the pizza was cooked she cut it into squares for him whilst Granddaughter had the regular shaped pizza wedges.
He ate the lot with gusto and said that they were a lot better than pizza ;D
Well done Pauline, I guess that's comes from experience you gain working a lifetime in childcare.
