My favorite band of all time recently made a brief appearance in Britain. I tried to get tickets to see them in London, but was unable to get tickets, so I tried Manchester, result ! The date of the concert was on my birthday. I then contacted a good friend, I had not seen for ages, who lives in Liverpool, and we decided to book a hotel in Manchester and I would drive him home the next day and then head home from there. A week or so after booking the tickets, I found out by chance that my favorite solo artist of all time was playing The Liverpool Philharmonic Hall as an additional date to his European tour on the next day to the Manchester concert. Again I was lucky to get tickets. A weekend that dreams are made of. On retuning home, I found out I had landed a job that I had applied for.
Friday, a photographic tour of Manchester in the morning, met with friend for lunch, beer and catch up, and in the evening Crosby, Stills & Nash.
Saturday, Albert Dock for lunch and walk around Liverpool, with camera, then for one of the best concerts I have ever been to, Ry Cooder. Home to find the letter about the job.
COOL !!
