img14.imageshack.us/img14/5008/095lqr.jpg img14.imageshack.us/i/090yhg.jpg/I was wondering if anyone has used or fitted,an excel automatic flue less tank less gas water heater ,only i have just fitted one in to my Honda Acty romahome, and it works real well, theres no pilot light ,it cuts off if it senses a problem ,and does not need a flue ,although theres a vent directly above it and i am going to install a fan to keep ventilation moving, there not much room in a romahome ,but now i have hot and cold running water i am going to fit a shower in using the well i have already put the shower curtain rail in and curtains ,and eagerly awaiting my shower mixer taps and riser off ebay ,anyway more to follow best wishes Brian

img17.imageshack.us/i/018pkx.jpg/ This is a pic of the shower rail and shower curtain managed to fix it to the side storage units, the top right corner where the brade is coming off is where i want to fit a 12v fan which i will wire so as when the micro taps are turned on the fan will start just as the gas boiler fires to help heat and any fumes be saftly extracted img9.imageshack.us/i/017lxp.jpg/ This is a pic showing how little room there is to fit the shower ,we are looking at the back of the romahome and the entrance door from inside img190.imageshack.us/i/027tno.jpg/ if you have ever seen a honda acty romahome, then this is it,and that is the shower curtain you can see in the door way ,best wishes Brian ps all the fittings have just arrived ,more latter

img12.imageshack.us/i/030det.jpg/ some of my fittings have arrived, the pic below may be of interest ,because the gas water heater will be fed by many types of water whilst trvalling ,and if hard water is used for any lenght of time ,scale will build up and may block the water ways,so i have decided to fit a scale inhibitor which should help reduce bulid up and and give the gas water heater a longer life it has 15mm compression fittings but the two smaller pipes are 8mm to enable one to fit standard caravan hose,i know that this unit is used in homes but i am sure it will work very well in motorhomes and caravans img12.imageshack.us/i/007eru.jpg/

wow, fitted the whale shower mixer taps and riser, fitted filter to the shureflow pump connected the pump to the micro switches ,primed the boiler and oops forgot to fit the non return valve so as not to have water feeding back in to fresh water container,i will have to do that latter because iam excited, and want to see if it will all work, and here goes ,the gas water heater wont fire at first because it senses the air in the system, and then when it has checked all is well, hot water sprays from the shower head, and i am so pleased ,and it works so well , heres a few pics img188.imageshack.us/i/004smx.jpg/img269.imageshack.us/i/006kvc.jpg/img269.imageshack.us/i/001zgl.jpg/ i wii try it out and see if i nead to alter any thing ,best wishes Brian

Wow! I'm inpressed! Just what I could have done with last weekend at a festival....
What are you using for a shower tray then? Showering inside or outside the back door?
Be careful if you have electric hook up, with a fridge that close!

Hi jayjay thank you for comments ,i never use the hook up ,but it is well away from the fridge where the fuse box is ,and im glad you asked about the shower tray ,because i am trying to fit one inside in the well by the door ,but it would be easy to fit one out side, the only trouble is getting one small enough, i do have a make shift tray but a proper one is what i am hoping for, best wishes Brian i see you are my neighbour lol congleton is just up the road ,so very best wishes ps what festival did you go to? ,

You could use a large plastic container, store stuff in the luton in it (like I do) then use for a tray, saving space. I went to the Moira Furnace Festival in Moira, just down from Swaddlingcote in Derbys - or was it just over the border in Leics? Had a great time, can't wait for the next one! www.moirafurnacefolkfestival.co.uk/index.html

Hi Brian, yes I play guitar and sing, try and stop me! (as several other small motorhomers will bear witness! LOL)
Sang on the performers stage at Moira Fest - and got shouts for more! ;D
Methinks you need an awning over the back door, showering outside wouldn't be so problematic then. And another shower curtain on the same rail so its four sided. ;D

Lol you are funny ,any way first things first ,lol the shower curtain you see in the pic is two tightly rolled together ,and goes right around the shower well which is only 20inches by 20 inches so theres no gaps, the fridge is gas the cooker is gas the boiler is gas and not one of the items use electricity, lol,but you are right to high lite the dangers because i don't want to die in the shower ,lol and you are right an awning would be a better answer ,but I'm hell bent in using the shower in my romahome just to show my American friends ,that a romahome is not for just keeping shoes in,so i must carry on until i get it all working ,lol i do hope they don't want pics of shower in use , because i am shy lol but thank you so much for your input, my next project is installing hot air blown heating ,i hope you know a little about that ,because i know nothing lol,oh by the way i have bought a under bed storage box like you said and it will make a brill shower tray, so you sing and play guitar and went up on stage lol you must be very good ,are you on youtube ? and have you recorded anything, i have a 100 track computer based recording studio, but its that long since i used it i forgot how to use it lol, take care thanks again best wishes Brian

ooh I'm glad you've got something to catch the water - it won't drain out uness you stand in the sink otherwise! LOL! Well I want to see a pic of you using the shower ;D ;D ;D Can't help you with the blown air heating, I tried to play the bagpipes once and failed miserably! I hope your American friends are well impressed - I certainly am! The size of their RV's takes some believing, don't they. Nope not on YouTube yet - haven't got a video camera. I also have a computer based mixing desk, connects to my keyboard amongst other things... and I've forgotten how to use it as well, LOL! I was learning to use it (complicated), then moved house and haven't got back into it yet, 12 months later, but am about to start. I have recorded a CD in a studio, but only three of the tracks are good and it all needs remixing as the original is on a mini/micro-cassette thingy... somewhere. When I find it I'll send it off to be transferred professionally to Cd and re-record the rest. And some more while I'm at it. And praps sell some incidental music... Keep us informed about this blown air heating... we all need it around here in the UK! Edited to add, just seen your videos on you tube, Money can't buy me love -BRILL - the others are brill too! Love the guitars, mine has died and I needs a new one. Middleport Lake - swam right across that in my teens! (long long time ago).

Hey jayjay thanks for taking a listen to my youtube songs ,and your sweet comments, shame you have not done anything for youtube , i may have to record you lol ,i take 90 % of all earnings, have you ever been on esnips, i did a Beatle tribute karaoke album and asked some beautiful people from all over the world if they would like to join in and send me a Beatle tune that they had sung ,it was great fun ,i took so many songs and narrowed it down to about 15 songs and mixed it in to some kind of order and put it out at Christmas on esnips ,i called the album friends across the universe,it was a huge success, but mostly it gave people who thought they were not good enough to get on the album a chance to show what they could do ,and each and everyone of them put so much in to there entry that i was amazed and so pleased for what they had done, any way i must not ramble lol ive only just stopped laughing at your very funny reply, hey you are naughty but i have a better idea you get in the shower and i will send the Americans a pic of you lol, clothed of course lol hey isnt this supposed to be a romahome forum lol ,still waiting for some more parts to Finnish shower off,but bank holiday means no post for a bit, any way it has been very entertaining chatting with you take care Brian img5.imageshack.us/i/002zro.jpg/ extractor pic managed to fit the exstractor fan, it comes on as soon as the hot water tap is turned ,which then turns the gas water heater on ,and just to put a face to the post thats me about to pen another hit lol my pic img6.imageshack.us/i/007bcvjbc.jpg/
