I bought a LifeVenture microfibre towel for our van. It seemed a bit extravagant at about £16, but soggy towels are such a pain especially on a small van. It's been absolutely brilliant - dries really quickly and absorbs loads of water. I also bought a facecloth sized one which I found I kept using to mop up spills as it's really absorbent and dries very quickly. Both were definitely worth the money - I shall buy a second facecloth sized one and keep it solely for my face!

You could use a small one all over, ringing out as necessary, and finish off with a towel. I knew someone who did that at home, which I thought was rather strange, but it does make sense in a van.

I use one when cycle touring. The panniers are full enough without trying to pack in a "proper" towel. They do feel a bit like sandpaper though , not quite the fluffy luxury one is accustomed to at home

I bought some cheaper versions on Ebay and they have been brilliant! They are much less bulky than regular towels, and dry quickly! Away next week without awning so hopefully no soggy towels hanging around!
