On Ebay, item number 390056212821
Can't find the original post, but I know someone wanted one of these but couldn't find one anywhere! Good for when you have no EHU. ;D

Hi JayJay
We have been looking round for something similar which we could use when we don't have hook up, the trouble is this is described for outdoor use or in a well ventilated area, so we would be a dubious about using it in the van.

I did read that bit, but thought... well most ppl just use their grill - including me, I did the last time I went out in Daisy, to heat the van for a wee whiley in the evening as no EHU.
So what's the difference between using the grill to heat the place up or using this device on a ring? It's just a cover so that there isn't a naked flame really, and as our cookers are designed to be cooked on inside, I'm just wondering whether this would actually be ok (if it fit the rings)!
It could be argued that vans are indeed well-ventilated because they have to be! LOL!
I thought that this was pretty good - you can get them for using with the little suitcase type cookers too.
ETA: could the 'outdoor use-well ventilated area just be a disclaimer - isn't any camping cooker supposed to be used as above?

I agree, all camping gas equipment seems to have a disclaimer like that, even the single burner stoves - and yet we use 3 burners at once sometimes in a caravan or motorhome. I wouldn't leave a gas ring burning whilst I was asleep, but I think it would be ok for warming the van up before bedtime, or a quick warm up in the morning.

Perhaps its me that's paranoid but I can imagine myself switching it on just to warm the van before bedtime, having a glass of wine, dropping asleep and waking up at that great small motorhome meet in the sky. ;D

. . . all camping gas equipment seems to have a disclaimer like that . . . Mine is a different brand but is identical to the one illustrated - I'm sure they're all made in the same place. On the box of mine though (bought from Yeomans), it says 'ideal for caravan and campers'.
