Hi Ant, We have recently obtained 1988 Roma-home C15. I got my local garage to check the mechanics over and he said that there was a helper spring (His terminology) between the vehicle and the Roma-home body which was broken.
Do you recognise his description and if so do you know where I can purchase the item.
The body seems fine but there is some crazing on the surface like the paint is cracking especially on some corners and at the top of the door. It does not seem to make any difference, no holes, still watertight but I would like to bring the body back to its former glory. Any help you or other members can offer would be most helpful
Thanks
Stu

Hi Stu. The spring assistors you need are made by Grayston Tel 0208 9741122 part number 31B02H, fit a pair not just one of them. As for the body, I would cut it back with a good compound ( Farecla G3) then look at it again before going down the repair line. Many hairline cracks would have occured early in the bodies life and are unlikely to get any bigger now. If the body has had some repairs in the past the match will not be perfect but it would be almost impossible to get it back to looking new without starting again which would cost the earth. Ant
