Hi can someone explain to me please about the the problems if any in errecting an Movelight awning by one person, I have heard that it can be very difficult, I am on my own and need to buy one for my C15 hightop, a little advise would help me decide on the kind I buy, thinking of a Movelight XL.

Hi Bryan, welcome to the Small Motorhomers! I have put up my movelite on my own, and it does get better with practice! An XL I think (correct me if I'm wrong, folks) is more suited to great big motorhomes... it's also a lot lot bigger and therefore harder to put up. I found the pegging down harder than the erection of my movelite small (the m square is the current model) and this could be overcome by buying screw-in pegs and a rechargable drill/screwdriver type thing. It's always easier when there are two people! But I'm partially disabled and managed on my own a couple of times... ;D ...or look hopeless and helpless until someone offers to hepl!  |

We are looking for an XL to go on our Outlook. We have an ordinary movelite but we do not find it big enough.

Hi jayjay, to my rescue again, thanks for your reply, sorry for the delay have been away in Ireland, great time, I have the C15 Romahome so may take your advise and go for the m square movelite, the screw-in pegs are worth remembering, anything to make life easy? I'm also partially disabled so your advise taken in.

Peterholden, Hi so you are looking for an XL to go on our Outlook and have an ordinary movelite thats not big enough for your needs. Do you want to sell it? if so how much do you want for it, I may be interested......... let me know.

 There is an awning for sale on Ebay - item no 260484138167 which looks as if its a good fit for a smaller van/romahome. At time of posting this, bids had reached £41. Might be worth a look for somebody needing one.
