Hi, I've just stumbled upon your fab site! What a great idea to have a place specifically for owners of smaller vans to compare notes. I get fed up with people telling me that one day I'll be able to afford a "proper" van. I'm more than happy with my Holdsworth, it may be old, but it has character (bit like myself!)

Hello and welcome to the forum. Thanks for the kind words about the site. You're in good company here we love chatting about our vans and some of us (not naming names though) are a bit mad too. Graham

Hi Graham, this certainly looks like a good place to be. We only got our 'van last year, so are relatively new to motorhoming. We soon became addicted to it and get away as often as we can. Hoping to go the the season finale motorhome show at Lincs this weekend. Don't know why - we haven't got any money to spend there!!!

Don't know why - we haven't got any money to spend there!!! I know what you mean but it's nice to look isn't it? Beware though we went to one at NEC, a few years ago now, thinking we were just going to look and came away having ordered a new van. Graham

Hello and welcome to the forum. Richard Holdsworth conversions were considered to be the best in their day, and most have worn well and are still going. We had one untill it was stolen along with hundreds of others at the time of the world cup in germany, but it was replaced easily because it really held its value, and we got almost what we had paid 4 years previousley. So, you have a quality van, happy caravanning! Hi Madwoman & welcome. We have a Romahome and we have had a large motorhome in the past, and we would not swop back now. We had so many problems in strange towns when following signs for car parks only to find a height barrier. The length was a problem to as it was too big for most car park spaces, (when we could get in) No, we love our little Roma, its big enough for us two & the cat. Pendel

Hi Pendel, I agree car parks can be a pain, especially when you follow the "P" signs only to find its a multi storey and theres no way of turning around! At least we can fit into the normal supermarket size spaces. Small is beautiful!

Hello again, if you want to see our van look at our roma on the photo section. You can do anything in a small van if you use your imagination, and it gets down country lanes the big boys bilk at.
