Hello, me and my girlfriend have just bought and bedford rascal with a romahome mark 1 pod on it, and are planning on taking it for its maiden voyage this weekend, can anyone recommend a good dog friendly campsite on the south coast? Thanks, Gary.

Hi Gary Welcome to the forum, we normally use the campsite search on UKCS to find sites, link here www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/They normally say if they accept dogs. Some sites are still busy weekends at the moment, may be best to phone.

There is a good camp site at Bognor which is just down the road fromTesco so you can get breafast cooked for you. Only thing to avoid are the pitches next to the road. It can get noisey at night as boy racers use it so get as far away as you can.Its very convenient for all areas and has good facillities. Pendel

The Caravan Club site at Brighton is good. It's within walking distance for all the attractions if you are fairly fit, if not there is a good bus service just outside the campsite. Non members are welcome and they welcome dogs on a lead. See our review HERE

I didn't realise that you had bought Jacki's van, glad Daisy has gone to a good home, she was well loved and we all feel like she's part of the family. Glad you've joined the forum so we can keep track of Daisy's progress. Graham

we've decided to go to a place called eype, it looks nice and quiet from the photos, and is somewhere we've never been before! (or heard of) thanks for all the responses, shall let ya know how it went. Gary.

Sounds good! Hope the weather stays fair for you! I'm off to a place on the Cumbrian coast called Allonby, which I had never heard of either, or known existed! LOL!
In a S/C cottage....!

Eype was excellent! a very beautiful place, that is also nicely off the beaten track. 200 yards from the beach, and 800 yards from a nice local!

Hi Jayjay, we nearly bought a microlite caravan, it was a Freedom one. I think they are brilliant as they are light enough to be towed by virtually anything and very unlikely ever to leak because the shell is all one piece, no seams! Did you decide to go ahead and buy one?

Hey Gary - a lady on here has a Movelite Awning for sale! It's on Ebay item number 170389035377, so if you haven't got one yet, perhaps you could make her an offer through the Site here.
Glad you had a good trip! The weather has been pretty good all week where we were, quite windy but no rain, which was good. Nice little cottage too, warm and small, but perfectly formed. With great views out of the kitchen window - a great big bull and his harem! Will post photos later!

Hi Madwoman! I've decided to buy one, still looking for one at the moment. I also don;t know whether to sort out a towbar (that should be the first thing, LOL) on my old Honda Civic Coupe or get a different car for the job. Just don't know which way to go on that one. Car is old and needs a respray +towbar at £200 ... just wondering whether to get a different car for the job, although the MOT place said the engine is in fine fettle and it would tow no prob. Anyway, if you sees one.... let me know!
