I like the look of this and it would be very easy to put together something similar )

Hi Karen
Seems similar to Amdro's Boot Bed but the foams must have ply backboards I think. I can't find any for sale at the moment, maybe they don't make them any more. I did find a secondhand one on German Ebay.
Have you seen the Caddy Camper promo on my Youtube channel? That looks interesting if a little impractical. Usual problem, lots of clever bits but nowhere to put any other kit.

I hadn't seen it but have just taken a peek. As you say, it's lots of bits of kit which takes up nearly all the storage space. These wouldn't work for me - I need a bit of room to move around in the back of the vehicle and as I could be away in it for 5-10 days would need more facilities eg a sink, leisure battery, my wonderful 12V microwave... etc and not just a bed which fills the entire rear of the vehicle. I've drawn up plans for an adaptation of a Fiat Doblo which could be a very comfy and practical car-camper (bed, s/steel sink, 2 leisure batts, cooker, loo, and even adequate storage but my stumbling block is always the frustrating insurance issue... I need 'business' cover to include carriage of own goods - ie taking my shop orders to the post office 6 miles away twice per week which no camper insurer I've found will cover me for (
