Am just back from a trip to Lands' End & other picturesque parts of England (for a wee change) and home to Glasgow via Ant & Co in Bristol for my habitation check. If only I'd known he does the full Citroen engine & chassis check too......but that's for next year. I wonder if any other female has clocked up over 1,500 miles with the primary object of (her van) seeing him?
It was so well worth it. I was there for a few hours getting my habitation check plus all the extras. Ant made some calls and got the bed & cushion thang sorted - it's a real double now and I'd been trying to get the problem taken seriously for a year! The heating and hot water also now work, also for the first time since I bought it. Wheels too, aligned & swapped.
The effect of all Ant's efforts is that my sister has been able to take my 2 nieces (2.5 & 4.5) away in the van to Tiree and is having a fab time with real heating and a bed which doesn't drop you onto the floor in the night. Result!
I wish I'd bought my van from the Avon team...if that's the customer service I get when I'd bought it elsewhere, what would it be like if Flossy had been born there?
Thank you.
Effie
PS Isn't the Dimension a big boy's van? So many cupboards!
PPS Off to the campsite review section to add the no-go and fab ones.
