Free range fridge!

Hi - I thought I'd start a new thread here rather than add on to ant's appreciation thread! Oooh, I wish you were nearer to here, Ant!

Re the free range fridge - here's what Ant had to say in answer to my question about mine being not anchored down anywhere...

Only the larger 60 litre fridges fitted to Berlingos have the plastic covered screw holes inside.
Most C15's have the "L" shaped brackets under the fridge upto about late 1995 then they had to change the fixing method when they fitted the new moulding and recessed the cooker to two small brackets that fit to the top front of the fridge.

Nope, Ant, not a dicky bird (LOL) in the way of L shaped brackets or two brackets at the top. So how do I do I peg mine down? Can you supply the L shaped brackets and a girly how to fix them diy leaflet, or should I go to a caravan centre?

Hi Jayjay.
All you need to do is lift off the cooker and fix the fridge to the base that the cooker sits on. Romahome used "L" shaped brackets but you can use anything that secures the fridge to the "GRP" base, even a block of wood is better than nothing.

Hi Ant, Thanks for your reply! Did you have a good time at the NEC?

Right, I'll go and see if I can take out the cooker - I'm not hopeful though, it's the original one by the look of it and screwed to the unit and the fridge is underneath, where a cupboard used to be in it's own separate little hole. Must be a way though.
