Hi there, Now as i get a lot of stick for being 20 and owning a motorhome, i was wondering whether there were any other like minded geniuses out there who are also young Romahome or Motorhome owners? Having looked at a few threads in this forum ive seen a few other owners around my age and i thought it might be nice to see how many of 'us' there are out there, as i know we are in the minority a bit here? We could start an elite group for the young, haha. Anyway, im Phil and i have a 1988 Honda Acty Romahome Dismountable....

Hi Phil A big welcome to the forum, you are our 200th member, , no prizes I'm afraid but welcome anyway. Can't say I fit it your criteria for a youth group at 55 but its great that more younger people are buying and using these great little vans. You're right we have a few other young members on here no doubt they will be along soon to say hello. Graham

Hello phill, we are also not young in years but young at heart. We are quite new members and just love this site, so usefull for info and very friendly. Are you coming to the meet in March? We are looking forward to it as it will be our first trip in our Julius. What do you call your Romahome? Anyway, welcome to the best club for campers, maybe we will meet up some day. Hi phil
We used to be young, maybe that counts!!!!!
I have to say though, that I wish we had had a van when we were young.
When we bought the first van a few years ago, so many young people at work were really interested in it and told me they would love to have one - they saw it as exciting and liberating, but they would not admit it openly in the office!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Guys,
Sounds like even the 'older' owners are just as young at heart as us babies! haha
Is the meet in March part of the Romahomeclub or just from the smallmotorhomes site club?
Thanks to all those who have welcomed me to the forum, i am overwhelmed at just how friendly and welcoming everyone is!
Phil

Welcome Phil Hope you have much enjoyment from the van. If you ever feel the need to come over to the Dark Side buy a Mazda Bongo. You still get the mick taken out of you but they are great vehicles and double up easily as every day transport too. Good Luck Dabs

Is the meet in March part of the Romahomeclub or just from the smallmotorhomes site club? Phil The meet is for Smallmotorhomers. Some of us are not keen on the Roma Club - there are various posts on the forum about some of the issues.

Is the meet in March part of the Romahomeclub or just from the smallmotorhomes site club? Hi Nibbles We are not a club we don't charge subscriptions or send out a newsletter, Pauline started the forum so that people with small motorhomes could exchange ideas, talk about their vans and meet up with each other etc. The meet in March is for anybody who wants to come, the more the merrier, including Romaclub members, Pauline and I are in the Romaclub ourselves as are several other people who come on this forum. Our aims are the same as the Romaclub to promote Romahomes but we also welcome other small motorhomes no matter what its make or model. Regards Graham

Hello Nibbles and Snuggles, Well, I'm 40 so reckon I'm too old for the youth group? I used my Mum's HyLo since my early 30's and got the p*ss right royally taken, still do in my Outlook but now I'm ready for it! Being able to brew an immediate cuppa or pull out a chilled vino collapso wipes the smile off folks' faces. My sister took the girls to the World whatever in windsurfing in Tiree last October and they took lots of stick. Funny though, when it came to it, she could do lots in Flossy the van that the others couldn't in their "cool" old VWs. But that's surfers for you and my nieces 3 & 5 just loooove my van. Effie
