We love our Romahome so much that we made a whole website based on our experiences!
We currently own a Romahome Dimension, love walking and like to combine it with birdwatching, we are RSPB members.
Pauline loves cats and all types of crafts while Graham is an avid footie fan - to watch that is, not play! ;D
We have two grandchildren who we hope to be able to take camping with us very soon.

Yes I am an avid Notts County fan but after the season we have had, my avidness is starting to wain, but I will probably be back next season full of hope for a promotion winning campaign, probably to have my hopes dashed once again. Hey ho who would be a football fan?

Hello there this is a quick post to introduce myself. I'm Jean and have been a Romahome owner for 2 years. I love her. I name dher Edith after an elderly great aunt who was a bit of a goer! She is 1995 HyTop and is pretty good condition apart from the rust in the front of her bonnet (which was well hidden bought). I am taking steps to rectify that. I'm into photography, arts and crafts and sometimes use Edith to paint when I want to get out but it's too cold. I am actually a useless artist but I try.

Hi all, We bought our Romahome Duo Hylo in September 2005. I think I had a midlife crisis. We have always had lovely holidays, cruises etc. but I was fed up with having two weeks away and then not being able to afford anything else until the following year. Soooo this was my idea. Plan - to have lots of weekends away and be more chilled out. It has worked. We love our Romahome and totally switch off when we are away. We have braved all weathers so far and won't know ourselves when we go away and have nice weather. I used your site when we first bought our van as being total newbies didn't have a clue. Keep up the good work. Moya

Moya/Jean: welcome to you both,
It will be great to see this site grow as new members join, please join and post (even if you're a little shy!).
We don't have a romahone (yet!) but like camping and try and get away to birdwatching haunts as much as possible. We have to rough it in our supersize tent (really its massive), but we love it.
Will continue to watch the site with interest!
Cheers, Chris

Bet your paintings are far better than you think! Do you have any preferences on what you paint, i.e. landscapes, animals etc. ? Our first van was a C15 HyTop. We've seen so many around recently, they seem to last forever! We haven't got a name for our Dimension, we'll have to have a think for something original. Although we have had the idea of making a sign for the back, something like when people name their houses and call them Dunromin' but we will call ours "Funroamin" ;D Best wishes, Pauline and Graham

Time, as always, is the thing we lack most. Hopefully you will get some warm weather soon and fully enjoy the delights of romahoming in the sun. We've just had the weekend in Norfolk and had some lovely weather, it makes all the difference when you can sit outside for meals. Any plans to go abroad with her? You could always have a long ferry crossing and still have the feel of the cruises you were used to! Best wishes, Pauline and Graham

Hi All,
We have been the proud owners of a Duo Hylo for two years and think it is a brilliant design. We are generally pleased with it and have had some great times away in it. We are thinking of calling it Smelly Nellie because of the smell of fibreglass when it has been shut up with the roof down, if it has been left in the hot sun. Do any others have this problem? We thought that the fibreglass would have finished curing by now!
We like staying at sites with electric hookup, access to open countryside and with swimming facilities close at hand. Good radio reception is also required as we need to listen to the Archers every evening at 7pm.
I think a forum for small motorhome/campers is a great idea and hope it grows.

Hi Derek
Welcome to our message board, I love the name for your van, I know Moya has a hylo she might be able to answer your question about the fibreglass. Our last van was a Duo High Top which we had from new and we certainly didn't have a fibre glass smell, so perhaps its a hylo problem.
Hope you and "Smelly Nellie" have lots of happy hols.
Thanks for the good wishes for our message board, it is still in its infancy but we hope in time it will grow.
Regards Graham
