Hi - only just found this site - someone put a link to here on the Roma Club site - so here we are !! We have a slightly different Romahome - it's a Duo Hylo, 2004 - but based on a Peugeot Partner chassis, not the Berlingo. The guy we bought it from had had it made on a vehicle he supplied, then when it was finished, he shipped it out to Australia for his daughter to have a 3 month holiday in. After the holiday he had it shipped back again, put it in his garage, and advertised it for sale. We are delighted with it - used it quite a few times last year - including a trip to France, but other commitments this year have got in the way so far - but hopefully we will get away soon for a break.
Mike

Welcome Mike and Sue. This is a really friendly forum and the membership is building. Your Romahome has had an adventurous life - hope that you enjoy lots of time away in it. Let us all know where you go as we like to hear of other peoples trips. Wendy (& John)

Hi Mike and Sue! Welcome to you both. Your Romahome sounds unique! As Wendy says it's had a big adventure in it's short life, far more than most have in a lifetime! Hopefully we will see you around as you should be easy to spot!

By the way, obviously your Romahome doesn't fit the standard pictures I've added to the choices for avatars.
So, if you (or anyone else for that matter) would like a picture of your own van for your avatar but can't host it yourself, just email a picture to me and I can host it for you.
Best wishes Pauline

Hi - thanks very much for the warm welcome, folks! Read the bit about the easier way to upload an image - but can't for the life of me see where it gives the "upload an image" option - am I thick? I tried the hosting at 150x115 option, and here is the link :- img238.imageshack.us/my.php?image=romaavatarfn5.jpg( bet this won't work, either )!!! Mike

Hello Mike Welcome to our forum, I see you have a hylo there seem to be more hylo owners on here than anything else, but yours must be the most unusual I've not known a Romahome to be fitted on a Peugeot Partner before. Regarding your question about the picture hosting, no you are not thick, Pauline is the techie but is cooking the dinner so I will try and answer! If you want to host a picture for everyone to see the upload image option is in the "new message", or "post reply" box just below the row of smileys. In other words if you reply to this post you will see it on the left hand side, it says"upload an image" then a browse button to select your picture once you have found your picture then click host it. However, if you are trying to upload it for an avatar, that is done through your "member profile" but you will have to be able to host it yourself, or alternatively if you email it to us: sitemail@smallmotorhome.co.uk and we can host it for you. Hope that makes sense but please get back to us if that hasn't answered your question. The image you uploaded did show for me, it looks a lovely van. Regards Graham

Hi Mike, You will be pleased to know you are not thick or going mad! I think that 'proboards' who make the basic template of the forum, were moving some of their coding around last night and it's highly likely that it was during that time that you tried to upload your pictures! Hopefully now you should be able to see the 'upload an image' option but if not let me know and I will investigate further. Does everyone else see it?? Your avatar should be showing too, I see it but let me know if you can't. All the best, Pauline
