Hi,
I am onto my second Romahome C15 the latest is my Bon Voyage. I absolutely love my Romahome's both named Freda and Freda2.
I have been a member of the Romahome club for 5 yrs but I have decided not to renew my membership too much bickering, but there are some really lovely ppl there, just the Committee does my head in.
Also an active member of the UKCS and the new 365 club.
I have noted that there are a few of your goodselves members of Roma Club and UKCS.
I live in Wolverhampton/Walsall, widowed but very friendly, from Manchester originally and still very much a lancashire lass.
I have enjoyed reading your forums, all sensible and good fun nothing too serious, which I think camping is about.
Perhaps we should have a meet ?
Joan

Hi Lunnie, good to see you here! We've chatted a few times on UKCS - I'm Romanie on there. A meet is planned for end of October, see the posts in the 'General Camping' section for more information. You are more than welcome to join us, it's a very informal meet.

Hello Joan aka Lunnie
Welcome from me too. We'd love to see you at our meet if you can make it.
What is 365 Club? Presumably something that happens all year round?

Hi to All,
The 365 camping club is another offshoot from UKCS started by Omega99 and Glenn58 only Glenn has now started his own club.
I have read the thread regarding October meet, but I am not sure if I can make it as I am travelling to NZ the following weekend for 3 weeks, and will have to visit family before I leave etc, but if I get organgised then you may see me.
I am camping with 365 club the weekend before at Matlock which will be my first.
You may call me whatever name you fancy Graham as long as you do not call me late for dinner!

It will be good if you can get to see us, but I can see that time will be a bit precious for you at that time. If this meet is successful, then we may have another in the spring.
Enjoy your trip to New Zealand and come and tell us all about it when you get back.
I can't get the link for 365 club to work.

I can't get the link for 365 club to work. I wonder if it should be caravanning rather than just caravan, as there is a site here: www.365campingcaravanning.com

That sounds like it could be the right one. Was there an upset at UKCS? It appears to cover the same sort of areas.

Unsure, but Omega99 always did the North West, and a group from ukcs seem to all go to the same meets, think they got upset with Ratty etc, deleting msg unsure, seemed abit hush hush at the time, me being nosey asked Donnamarie at Trentfield about the new site, have joined both, and at times not happy with the comments slanging off ukcs, but put my point of view and now ok, since we are still seeing the same ppl on both ukcs and 365. Omega99 was on the 2wk Cornwall meet with ukcs as was Glenn58, personally cant see why it was needed but someone obviously did.

Thanks, Joan. I'm nosey too and that's why I wanted to know. Had a look at the 365 site and it seems to be a lot of UKCS people. Some still posting on UKCS and some not seen for a while. Like you, I can't see why the new site was needed, but ours not to reason why - just join up and post. ;D

think they got upset with Ratty etc, deleting msg unsure, When we first joined UKCS we put a post on with a link to our website and Ratty deleted it without giving us any explanation at all. So we emailed him to ask him why our message had been deleted and he said why should they advertise a rival board when we haven't even got a link to them on, (this was before we set up the forum), he seemed very offhand and a little power mad, but we replied that we hadn't had chance yet to put a link on our site as it was in its infancy but we fully intended to put a link on because we thought the UKCS site was very good. Anyway after that he seemed to change his attitude and we have never had a problem since. But it did seem strange at the time that they seemed to think our little site was a threat to theirs, ours is very specialised and we don't have anywhere near the number of hits that they have. We are still members of their site and use it regularly. Graham

Hello Joan I also post on the UKCS as Romaway. I joined this little site as it was so friendly.
I am joining the meet and it will be the first ever meet I have joined - I just hope I behave myself or I may not be invited to another.!!!!!!
If you can make it I will look forward to meeting you, I have been to Wolverhampton once when we were looking for Kinver and went a bit too far along the road. This is nothing unusual as I can go from London to Brighton via scotland with my OH map reading. Hope to see you soon and if not have a lovely time in New Zealand and tell us all about your trip when you get back. Happy camping Viv

It makes me think of that film in the 60's "The Gnome Mobile" You do realise that I'm going to be very disappointed if you and your OH don't look like this when we meet:
