A bit late in the day, as we've already posted 10 messages, but hi to everyone in this extremely friendly and helpful group. We camped in the 70s, caravanned in the 80s and 90s and then read about Barry Stimpson's La Med in the Caravan Club magazine. It sounded just the job. We popped down to Portsmouth and saw it in the flesh and immediately ordered the 2.2 engine, and waited and waited. Peugeot never imported the larger engine and then we heard on the grapevine that Romahome had bought the design. We wrote off to Romahome, were later invited to see the prototype at the factory on the IOW, where we had a bit of input into the finer features. We excitedly ordered from Ant at Avon Motor Caravans and took delivery of model 005 in May 2003. Here you see us trying it out for size in the local Waitrose car park, in the days when they were closed on a Sunday! It seems such a huge vehicle to drive after a small car, but now I at least am used to the size. I love the way we are very visible on country lanes and other cars pull in to make way for us. We feel a bit of a fraud as we are only about a foot wider than most cars. We love using the Dimension for holidays, having been up to Islay and Jura this summer, and also it's a great vehicle for a day out. Well done Pauline and Graham for setting up your website and this forum. Hope to see you at a meet next year. Mike and Heather

Hi Mike and Heather
Thanks for coming on and 'officially' saying hello and introducing yourselves its always nice to hear a bit of history behind the user names.
Thanks also for your kind comments on the forum and website you are right about it being friendly and helpful but that is down to the lovely people who come on here and post.
Regarding your Dimension: Wow fancy having 005, and having some input on the design as well! Our construction number is DIM05072 so I assume that means that it was built in 2005 and its number 72 overall.
Your route to the Dimension sounds about the same as ours, we started camping, then went to trailer tent, onto a caravan and after a nasty accident whilst towing we decided on a Romahome C15 and then uprgraded to a Duo which we liked that much that we decided to have a Duo with the toilet option when they came out and have now settled on the Dimension and what luxury it seems, we absolutely love it.
When we bought our first Duo we were taken on a guided tour of the factory on the Isle of Wight which we found very interesting.
It sounds as if we are going to have a great meet next year with all the people who are expressing an interest in meeting up, can't wait.
Happy Camping Graham

Welcome from another Dimension owner. Ours is no.17 - at least that's what we think that the nos mean. It was first registered in March 2004 and we took it over in July 2005. We have had tent, campervan, caravan, tents again and then campervan again (VW) before the Dimension. Think that this will do now as it has all the things that we think that we need. It's also small enough to be used as our only vehicle.

Hi Mike and Heather, It's never too late in the day to say hello - sometimes you need to get a feel for a forum before properly joining in. Graham has spoken for both of us in his post so I will just say - look forward to chatting with you more about your Dimension and hopefully a meet in the Spring!
