I had such a useful visit to your site last week that I felt I had to join the group. I just hope this meets with everyone's approval. I bought a "53" reg Romahome Duo Hy-Lo Plus last October and am now really beginning to put it - and me - through its paces. This is my first foray into motorhoming although I did spend some weeks in NZ a few years ago in something similar. Hence the fascination and determination to find something comparable when the time was right. I'm going to the North Sea Jazz Festival in July. Is anyone here going ? I shall be on my own so some company from time to time to swap the merits of the various performers / a beer etc will be most welcome ! Enjoy the forthcoming long week-end, not to mention the summer. All the best.

Hi Sotontraveller
Nice to hear from you. I bet it was nice travelling round NZ, I would love to do that but not possible I am afraid.
where is the North Sea Jazz festival and is there camping and have you been before? I am determined to go to some festivals but like everything it has to be organised and I am not good at organising - just tend to up and go at short notice.

Hi Soton Traveller
An extra big welcome to our 100th member, hope you enjoy your Romahome and coming on here to chat.
You (and anyone else) would be most welcome at our Meet at Hayfield in Derbyshire in July if you can make it you can find all the info in the "General Camping Discussion" section.
Meanwhile have fun.

Thank you for all your welcomes and what a surprise, an added honour, the 100th member. I hope I deserve the title !!! I'm finding my way around the site to apologies for not seeing your responses earlier. I was looking in the wrong place !
Re the North Sea Jazz Festival: this is the biggest European festival and now held in Rotterdam, having been moved from Den Haag two years ago. It's wonderful. Highly organised (as only the Dutch seem able to do) and a great experience with three days (well, nights) emersion in world class jazz. I didn't go last year so I am a little apprehensive about the move to Rotterdam (of which I'm not overly enamoured) and finding camping facilities has been a little frustrating. There turns out to be one site for which you can't book !!!
Viv - I'll let you know how it goes and then you can add it to your Must Do List if jazz if your thing.
Just in the process of kitting up Freda (Freedom & Air, what my Romahome gives me) .... there's even more to do now I've read this site. I did order a utility tent for my trip to Ireland next week to save struggling with my full sized Romahome Awning for nightly and two-nightly stops. I will put that up at the week-end to see what it is like and will comment here accordingly.
Fingers crossed it is not too wet for the next two weeks. Still, the Emerald Isle is not so called for nothing !

Another "Freda" Romahome! That's what Lunnie calls hers, although I think she's on Freda 2
