Hello all! We've just bought a 1992 Hytop on a C15. We've not yet explored it properly but the buttons on the dashboard have been so rubbed we can't work out what they are! Does anyone know of any websites that might have a diagram to help please? Also we were told the fridge is only 2 way but I had thought they were 3 way. It seems at the moment to run off the gas or the main battery, do the others also run off the lesuire?
Thanks
Jem & Owen

Hi Jem and Owen
Congratulations. How nice that you have now got your Romahome. Sorry I can't help with the fridge question, ours in 3 way. I am sure someone will be along soon to help.
Happy camping

Welcome, Jem & Owen, to the friendliest site on the web. I can't help with the fridge except to say that I don't think that it will run off the leisure battery or you would soon make it flat. I'm not techy, so probably wrong about that. Ours runs off the main battery when the engine is running, gas or mains electric. Lots of helpful people on here who will be able to help. I'm sure that you will have lots of fun with your new toy.

Hiya Jem and Owen
Congratulations on your "new baby" and welcome to the forum.
I reckon your fridge should be 3-way there should be a switch on the dashboard that you pull out and when you are running the fridge will work from the car battery, it doesn't get really cold though unless you drive a long way but it will keep it cold after it has been on gas or electric, if that makes sense. As Wendy says it won't run from the leisure battery, when you are on camp you need to run it from an electric hook up or from your gas cylinder.
Have fun Graham

Hi Jem and Owen, welcome to the forum I don't know of any websites that would show the various buttons and what they do but if you could pop a picture on here then I'm sure there would be someone who could answer your question.

Thankyou all for being so welcoming and helpful! We're taking Charly to a good mechanic we know of to get him all checked out and to get advice on batteries etc. Hope to chat to you all again soon.

Hi, if you fridge is 2way only, then it does not run on mains electric, it runs on the engine battery whilst driving, you use the top left side button it should have been marked rear screen heater, (which you dont have) and then when on site on your gas.
It is bums in the air to light the fridge, I was always useless at it, so my son did it, but most caravan or motorhomers know how to do it, and I think it is best when you are actually shown.
Well to the friendliest forum.
