Hello everyone!!! thanks for letting me join. im fairly new to the small campervan scene. since traveling around new zealand in a campervan i was determined to buy myself another van and convert it myself into a small campervan. because of my age i decided to buy a brand new renault kangoo estate (with the rear seats). my reason was i take my friends around and it was more of a practicality issue. i then set to work at converting it into a camper for two. its not based around the kangoo roo but my personal design. it contains a 2 burner stove, sink, fridge, 240V hook up and lighting, tv/dvd player, full size vw double bed (6'4" i believe) it also has a mazda bongo tailgate awning and a VW side driveaway awning, i also have a generator for roughing it for some portable power. iv got alot more planned for it like some wider wheels, 1 to make it look slightly nicer and to improve the stance of the van without changing the rear shocks from the panel van version of the car as they lift the van too high and would disrupt the sleep. ill try and put some pictures up soon im not wishing to just yet as its not complete but ill show you what its like atm when i have chance.

Hi Shaunj
Another new member and a big welcome from me, glad you found us, you sound as if you have been a busy bee with your van, it sounds great, can't wait to see the pictures.
With it being your own personal design at least you know it will be unique, no one else in the world will have that same van, wow!
Have fun with your project.

Welcome to the forum!
I look forward to seeing your van.
Before buying my Kangoo Roo I had a partial conversion of my own Kangoo van to include collapsible bed, sink, loo, powered coolbox and camping gaz burner (for a hot water bottle). Because I still need to use it as a van, I couldn't go the whole hog with a permanent conversion but I enjoyed several years of camping in it.
If you have any early piccies then I would be very interested in seeing them - please feel free to PM if you'd like to share and I'll send you some of my own 'DIY' conversion.

hi there, im really glad to have joined. there are hardly any forums on the net which seem to accept the smaller than the smallest of campervans. Thanks!!! ill get some pics on here as aoon as i can. the wheels were ordered today which im excited about and i think will give the van a nicer lower look without losing the comfort of the standard suspension.
KarenW id be more than happy to see your pics of your old Kangoo. you see i play the drums in a local band over here so i too need to use the space i have, one of the reasons why i bought the van.
Thanks once again for being so nice!!!
