Welcome to the forum.
Is your Hi-Jet from JC Leisure in Winchelsea? I visited last month and looked at a few including one very spacious conversion.
I'm a great fan of micro-campers and have a Renault Kangoo myself - prior to which I camped in a semi-converted Kangoo van. I love the freedom 'camping' offers.
I have an awning for my Kangoo - it's not made spefically for the Kangoo so would probably fit an Hi-Jet too. I've never actually used it myself because I usually solo 'wild camp' rather than use sites so there wouldn't be anywhere to peg it out and would risk drawing too much attention to myself!

Hello Pat and Alan
Welcome to our forum, I hope you don't mind I have moved this topic to the "Say Hello" section, you will get more response than in the "Forum Help" section.
I don't know what a Hi-Jet looks like perhaps you could post a picture of your van it sounds lovely.

Hi Pat Would love to see a picture of your hi jet. We saw a really tiny camper in the New Forest a few months ago it was really lovely maybe yours is like that . I had to have a close look and it was so cute but had everything that was needed.

Hi there
Can I pick your brains about little vans? I'm an absolute complete novice and am toying with the idea of getting a small van.
I'd love a van that didn't look too much like a camper van if you know what I mean (so I could also use it for work as I carry a lot of gear (+children) around in the back sometimes)
I've seen a few pictures of a Renault Kangoo with a roof that lifts up - is this a van that has been converted? I think I like the look of this type of size vehicle but there don't seem to be many on sale?
Any pointers to small vans welcome - I'd like to investigate further so me and my kids can go and have some fun times!
Thanks

I have a Renault Kangoo Roo - the vehicle you're referring to and you're right, there are not many around. I think about 26 were made of which possibly 20 are still on the road. Mine is the last-but-one conversion and there won't be any more by JC Leisure although Drivehome(?) still convert them. These campers are car conversions but it's also possible to do your own or buy a conversion kit eg from Amdro. I also have a Kangoo van which has been adapted for camping yet can still carry 6 hay bales and be used as a multi-purpose vehicle. There's more information about Kangoos (and a Berlingo adaptation) in this forum on this thread: smallmotorhome.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=3147&page=1I would highly recommend a Kangoo as a practical, versatile and reliable vehicle with long service intervals whichever version you opted for.

You might be better making a new thread in the "all motorhomes" section and asking this question, more people will see it rather than replying in the middle of this thread about a hi jet where it is a bit lost.
