Hello Everyone! I am the proud new owner of a 1990 C15 Romahome. I am planning a trip to France and discovered your site while surfing for information. I decided to join because you sound like a friendly, unpretentious and helpful lot I am new to all this and plan to join one of your meets to pick your brains!! In the meantime, can anyone tell me what the difference is between Touring cheques and Camping cheques? Has anyone used them? Does one have more sites than the other? Sorry to sound like the Spanish inquisition

Hi Playallday A big welcome to the forum, glad you found us and hope you enjoy coming on and chatting. We use touring cheques and find them very good, the sites are always of a high standard and there is usually one or more in whichever region you want to visit. We did once have a look at the camping cheque brochure but although they probably have more sites we found it a bit more complicated than touring cheques. Have you seen their website? here

Thank you for your welcome, Graham. I have found out so much from your site, your forum and links from these. I am a total newbie to camper vanning, although I have camped for most of my adult life. (getting too old to sleep on the floor now!) I did take off for a week in November, and even though it was below freezing, I was well snug under my feather duvet with a hottie bottle! But my big dream is an open-ended trip to France, starting on June 4th from Calais with my only deadline being to arrive in Carcasonne for a friend's 60th. I would love to hear other members experiences and recomendations. Which forum do you think it would be best to post on?
Thank you

Hi Playallday
Thanks for your kind comments about the website and forum. I like the sound of your dream trip to France, we have several members who are experienced France Campers, if you post in the General Camping Discussion I am sure you will get lots of help.
