Hi all - just wondered if any members are planning to go to this meet on 8 - 10 September? We were going to go last year, but were not back from France in time!
If you've never been to a show at Shepton, it's a large site, and well worth a visit - plus a chance to stock up on all those bargains we didn't know we needed ;D

We will be away on a weeks holiday in the other direction unfortunately! Do they have camping areas for those travelling from far away? Might be worth thinking about for next year. We sometimes go to the show at the NEC but haven't done an outdoor one yet.

Sue and I went today to Shepton Mallet for the Motorhome and American RV show today, and we were very pleasantly surprised - a very good show, spread over a large area - maybe 15 sq. acres, with plenty of camping areas, which seemed to cater for many special groups, ie, Hymers here, another make over there - I would judge at least 400 units camping there for the weekend! And the weather today was hot, hot, and hot!
We went to the Earls Court show last year, and the Shepton show was 10 times better, and 5 times larger, in our opinion. Having said that, maybe if it had been pouring with rain, and blowing a gale, it wouldn't have been as appealing !
Managed to get that large oblong TV aerial from the 12v uk stand, but as we are off tomorrow it will have to stay wrapped up till our return. It comes flat-packed and shrunk-wrapped, and does need cable and some sort of pole to make it usable, but not a difficult job.
Will report on it, and also the Avon awning, after our holiday. I did discover that Ant, from Avon Romahomes, was there, and had a very interesting chat with him - there were about a dozen s/h Romahomes for sale on his stand - mainly newer stuff, though.
So, put the Shepton show in your diaries for early next September, and lets have a mega-meet !!
