Due to popular demand......... .......well, O.K. then I admit it was only John who sort of mentioned he wanted one at the weekend!! ;D Anyway, I once made some little stickers to advertise the site. The original one we had in the van was square and looked like this (click pics for a larger image): but I've now made a round one as I thought it looked a bit nicer: If anyone would like one just let me have your address by private message or email and I will pop one in the post. They are a bit 'Heath Robinson meets Blue Peter' so don't expect too much! They are just printed and stuck on sticky back plastic and will probably fade away after a while but it would be a good way to spot each other when out and about. They are about 2.5" diameter so not too intrusive on the windows!

How strange, Pauline - are you a mind reader? That was going to be my suggestion for today!!
I've saved the image to my desktop - any reason not to print out our own copies? What is the correct size, i.e the diameter?
May save on postage for those able to print their own!!
Mike

I will try and print my own to save you any trouble. Also John just has to join as a member on here now that he's been mentioned in dispatches Anyway thanks for doing that. Wendy John's fate if he doesn't join ;D

Hi Wendy Thanks, but don't worry if it won't print properly (and anyone else for that matter) I'm sure we can run to a few 2nd class stamps. Look forward to seeing John swell the ranks

Just tried to print one and it didn't come out very well - too small and blue, so that the words didn't show up. I tried to make it bigger, but it went all fuzzy. Wendy

Mine is printed out OK. I fiddled with the image to get rid of the background (save on ink). Right click on the image and save it, then print it out with Photo Printing Wizard. Is there no end to your talents, Webmistress and Graphic Designer Derek

Just need to do Blue Peter sticky back plastic job and away we go. Wendy Well done! Don't do like me though, on my first attempt I stuck it the wrong way on the sticky back plastic so when it was put to the inside of the window the sticker was facing inside!

Good idea to lose the background, ink is a bit expensive these days (I get mine from a nice chap on eBay, they are not original cartridges but do a good job and are much cheaper than the local computer supplies shop) What colour is the background of the actual 'sticker' coming out as? It looks a bit blue in your post but perhaps that's just the way it's showing, it was originally a pale green to match the site - not that it matters anything that looks nice is OK. Is there no end to your talents, Webmistress and Graphic Designer Derek Thanks Derek (My talents end at lawn mowing. Graham will confirm that I'm able to tear grass from it's roots and leave bald patches )

Pauline said "Good idea to lose the background, ink is a bit expensive these days (I get mine from a nice chap on eBay, they are not original cartridges but do a good job and are much cheaper than the local computer supplies shop)" I always get my cartridges from :- www.7dayshop.comThey are on Guernsey, and as long as the order is less than £17.99 it is VAT-free. If you want to order more, they break it up into individual packages to avoid VAT !! I have an Epson printer, and the last cartridges I got were 99p each, colour or black - so I ordered 17 of each. ;D Beat that for price !!!! Mike

Ours is an Epson too but they can't beat my chappie on our type - 7 day shop are currently at £2.49 for black and £2.69 each for cyan, yellow and magenta but mine (ebayer - grome46) does the lot for £7.50 free postage Can't image he could beat your type at 99p each though!!!

The original is blue here, the square one is more greeny. I only changed its size and took out the outside blue bit. I have tried to make it green but it goes all 'orrible. How did you do the original? Do you have an image?
What! ----------- grass in gardens ----------- we have a water shortage down here. No sprinklers, bath with a friend, etc. ;D Derek

Funny that both square and round have exactly the same background yet they have come out differently for you. ???No image I'm afraid, I did it in 'Appleworks' which is the Mac equivalent of Microsoft Word but has a drawing and painting option too which I used to draw the stickers. Not sure if I can convert it into 'Word' if I can I could send it to you in it's original form to be printed direct (as opposed to the jpeg from this thread) but, as I say it doesn't really matter, if you are happy with the result then blue is good. I will look into whether it can convert though, just for future reference if nothing else, I like to know these things!

Lush, green and growing like Topsy here!! You'd think by now that they could genetically modify grass so that it only grows to a perfect .5"!! Don't worry though, we will be camping in the south soon so prepare for the heavens to open! (By the way - don't forget your brick in the loo cistern! )

Not to worry, Appleworks is supposed to be able to handle jpeg, maybe only for import, could try "save as" on the image and save as a jpeg, if that is available. Derek

Hi Derek Yes I was able to save it as a jpeg in Appleworks. Here it is but if it still looks blue then perhaps I will have to try emailing it to you:

It is now a nice shade of green for me. Guess that I will have to do another one - put the blue one in the van yesterday.

Hi Lunnie
I think folk are using the blue one, I managed to get the green one to print out the right size by loading it into "Paint" (in "Accessories") and printing from there
