Just to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
Lets hope we will all be happy, healthy (wealthy would be good too) in 2007.
Seems as if everyone is out and about apart from me, sitting in bed with the laptop and listening to the fireworks and not even bothered with a drink, how sad is that?

We were off on a midnight walk to watch everyone else's fireworks from the top of a hill near us, but it is so windy and soggy underfoot, we're snuggling off to bed instead. Really sad! Happy New Year everyone and hope the following link works for you. www.jacquielawson.com/viewcard.asp?code=1129743282241mike and heather

Happy New Year to you all The fireworks in London looked spectacular and were brilliant I just wish we had gone but saw it on Telly instead. Will remember for next year! We did not stop saying Ooh and Aah and you don't often do that to fireworks on telly!!!!
I also noticed my nets last night. Shock horror! I hate nets but we need them where we live particularly in the bedrooms, so that is my day planned - net washing, but I doubt they will ever be white again.

Happy New Year to you all too. Love the card Mike and Heather (wot no cats? ) We were playing Poker with our son and daughter-in-law all evening and got so engrossed in the games that we nearly missed midnight! Switched on the TV just in time and watched the fireworks, like you say Viv they were spectacular enough on TV, just imagine being there! (Thankfully poker was with plastic 'chips' so we are not broke this morning! )

Viv If it's not too late Viv, try soaking the nets in vinegar diluted in cold water prior to washing. It helps to keep them white.

Hi Pauline too late I washed them in the machine on a wool setting. I can't manage them by hand, they are 30' long and 4 ' deep and there are two of them, still greyish.
Anyway I have more important things to worry about like, have I enough wine for this evening.
I am off to the public records office tomorrow with my sister who is researching the family history and she is on a mission to find yet another ancient Last Will and Testament, she finds them really interesting and she gets me involved when large scale microfiche scanning is involved.
Sometimes when I open my e mail she has sent yet another photo of an ancient grave stone of some long past ancestor!!!! Oh well, I shall take a gammon sandwich, that should use it up.
Jana I hope your New Years day was a bit more exciting for you than sitting up with a laptop in bed!!!!

Lol not really Viv that was the highlights I think. Actual day was spent washing a car and descaling the kettles. What a fun life we lead lol. Least FreddyVans kettle is all nice and clean. Sitting watching Coro now after a lovely tea and I don't start my new job till Monday so I have rest of week off. 12 bottles of wine arriving Monday following last night on Laptop lol.

Happy New Year to one and all
We have just returned from a wet and windy Leek C&CC site. We didn't manage to stay up until midnight and slept really well despite the wind and rain. The sun shone at first on new years day and we had a good walk and made it back to the van before the rain started again in late afternoon. Today was really dismal and wet and so we came straight home instead of having another walk.
