Teversal is the village (and pit) owned by Lord Chatterley. Oliver Mellors lived there. Peak Practice was filmed in various locations in Derbyshire. Haddon Hall now has a giant notice outside stating that it was used for Jane Eyre!

Hi johns1 It all sounds like it is going well and a few of us can make it. I think the C & CC allow special rates for group bookings like this if you speak to the specific site staff. It may be worth a mention even for future reference.
I am getting quite excited now and looking forward to the trip away. Viv

Hi Wendy,
No not connected to the good lady, have some friends who live in Tansley, near Matlock and the Christmas break was a choice between Lickpenny lane site near the village or the Teversal site. We decided on the Teversal one as the six nights will take us up to another free night with the club!! Also it is closer to major routes incase the snow and ice arrive, should be able to get home etc...! Tim

Hi All, Sorry I can't make it afterall, I've had an intermittent fault on my van that took a lot of time and lots of money to track down, so I'm broke for the time being, but I hope you all have a really lovely time, and that the meet is so successful that you have more so I can join you on another occasion. With Regret, Avril

Its a real shame you can't come Avril, I hope you've got your van sorted now, there is nothing worse than an intermittent fault that is difficult to find. As you say hopefully this meet will be successful and we will arrange another one. Graham

OOOH !! Flap - flap !! Only about a week to go - will we ever be ready? Not even tried sleeping yet in the Bongo - hope the Thermarests do a good job of ironing out the lumps and bumps of the seats!! Hope also we can get everything we need in - and still be able to put the seats down at night!! If you see an old geezer wandering around the campsite in the middle of the night you'll know the beds aren't that comfortable - but promise not to laugh ( not too loud, anyway !) Mike

Oh all right Yamaha, but what a shame as I love a good laugh!!! Viv
PS I still have not tried to put the smileys on as my comp is playing up and I have to click twice to do anything. it is a pain.
