Pauline will be putting all the pics and a review of the meet on the our main website as soon as she can get round to it. Meanwhile feel free to put your pics on here it would be great to see them.
Also big thank you to John and Wendy for organising things.

Hi All,
Thank you all for a very enjoyable weekend, I thoroughly enjoyed your company, nice to make new friends and put faces to names.
Thanks to John for organising. And we certainly left Martin with sufficient cake for the rest of his stay.

Another very enjoyable meet and great to meet lots of new folk and put faces to names. Shame about the weather but at least we had a room to use for our chatting. Now if only someone can arrange for sunny weather for whenever the next meet takes place!

Thanks Graham & Lunnie for the kind mentions. I didn't organise much ( or intend to) - I just made the initial suggestion and you all organised yourselves! Unlike the Bridgwater meet where Yamaha had to put in a lot of effort

Was it worth it? You bet it was ;D
Thanks John for setting it rolling and a big thank you to everyone for making us newbies feel welcome.
The smiles on everyone's faces and the fun blotted out the rain. Although when we were all packed up and ready for home we noticed that the rain had done its worse - our Hy Lo had shrunk, but when the sun sun shines again it will expand.
Thanks again everyone, and roll on the next meet.
Malcolm and of course Hilary ;D ;D

It was lovely to meet everyone plus Barney the cat Jax - we were sorry not to have the chance to wave you and Annie goodbye, didn't know you were leaving on Saturday or would have made time before going off on our walk, hope you had a safe journey home.

So - who brought back MY bit of cake? Your bit of cake was lovely Mike, shame you couldn't make it but I tried all the different cakes for you, hope you don't mind. Here is a quick summary: Wendy's Dundee was marvellous. Jay Jay's Bara Brith was fantastic Lunnies chocolate cake and lemon cake - to die for Heather's fruit cake laced with Whiskey- out of this world. There was also some Carrot cake and fair cakes but even I couldn't manage any more. Graham

We got home about 7.30 this evening, a long drive in rain and wind but it was worth it. A great weekend and great to meet everyone. Fantastic having the use of the clubroom to get to know everyone . The pub meal was very enjoyable even though we got soaked coming back but some of us didnt notice the cold due to the red wine insulation. Barney has been for a long sleep and has now realised he is home again so will be sharpening his claws ready for the next attack. Martin was well stocked up with cake and custard when we left so he will be putting on a pound or two. Thanks again everyone for making us welcome.

You all sound like you had a wonderful time I went to Glastonbury for the weekend and I was hoping your weather was better than mine for the meet, but it obviously didn't dampen your fun.

It really worked out well - lots of surprises. The upstairs room at the pub, the club room at the campsite - and Martins's legs! Heather couldn't stop giggling - she was asked if she was alright. Better draw a veil over this! Lots of faces, old and new and very good to see so many keen small motorhomers. We look forward to the photos. Thanks John and Wendy for starting us off - it all fell into place, including the friendly village shop/cafe in Wolverley. We visited the rock house at Kinver Edge before returning to Gloucestershire. The van was as sandy as if we had been to the beach! Looking forward to the next meet.

I echo all of the above!
I had a wonderful time and everyone was so friendly - I'm so glad I spent my first camping holiday in Daisy amongst so many new friends! It was great to put faces to names!
Thanks to some expert mechanics by Martin (who I can never thank enough - still owe you a meal, M!), I'm glad to say that Daisy drove fine all the way home and the temperature gauge didn't move an inch all the way.. I only stopped for five minutes (satnav got me lost up a bridle path - doh!)
So she's been renamed Daisy instead of 'That Bl**dy Little Monster' as she was when I arrived!
Also need to thank Lunnie for all the wisdom & a lovely beef stew! You are so cool, Joan! And lots of other ppl for helping out with awnings and all sorts of things that a newbie like myself hadn'g got a clue how to work out...
Loved the socialising and chat on Sat eve, and all that cake - yum!
Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to Jax and Annie - I hope you got to Wales ok and the weather got better there for you.
Jacki

Hi all,
A thanks to John for organising the ball to start rolling for what turned out to be a great weekend despite the weather. I don't think I have laughed so much for ages. I never got to see Martin's legs, what did I miss folks?
We really enjoyed meeting and chatting with everyone and the cakes were yummy - thanks.
Glad Daisy got you home safe JayJay and how nice to see all the little pets enjoyed the camping experience as much as us. We did bring Terry's parrot but it got forgotten about and left in the dashboard! You can all meet him next time.
Sorry to have missed the going of Annie and Jax particularly as I remembered Annie's name first time so hope to meet next time for longer to chat to you both!
It was really nice to have the 'club' room to be able to sit and chat together away from the rain.
I have just seen the weather forecast for Easter and it makes the weather we had look good.
Regards to all

Better draw a veil over this! The only bare legs I saw were Derek's and quite frankly that was enough for one day ;D ;D ;D Don't tell me Martin was flashing his as well. Graham

Hi everyone, we're back from welsh Wales to restock before going on to Hayling Island. What a great thing it was to meet up with everyone at last, even though we were only there for one night as we had a birthaday bash to go to. Not sure if missing Martin's legs was a loss or a bonus but missing the cake was a loss! We were worried that the Severn Bridge might shut because of the high winds but it was fine and Elvis flew along nicely. We thought the camping pets were lovely and they all seemed to be having a good time. Sorry to have shot off without saying proper goodbyes but there were so many happy little groups of people nattering that it seemed a shame to interrupt. We loved meeting everyone and it makes this web site even more special. We can recommend the get-togethers to all new members. Thanks again. Jax

Thank you Jacki, I never been called 'cool' before!!! Finally got my printer working, after a lot of naughty words, threatens of returning, uninstalling, calling for HELP rather loudly to my son - low and behold I now have you all printed out!!!! and what a lo ly bunch you are.
Jacki, Wildie is my son on UKCS and he answered your question about the Sat.Nav. he says that you do need to re-set, that he has done this many times. I didnt know that he has spoke to you, it was only when I mentioned your problem that he said he knew you. Small world. he and I have the same Sat.Nav as yourself.
Pleased that you enjoyed the stew. Look forward to meeting with you again. And everyone else of course.
Joan xx

Look forward to meeting with you again. And everyone else of course. Joan xx You are the coolest, most unfazed, relaxed person I've ever met - I aspire to the same frame of mind, Joan! Still not sure how to reset the satnav... but I would like my 'avoid motorways' option back! This new map changed the setting to 'avoid highways' which takes you down every b road and bridle path.. not that it was set to that to get home, I had programmed it by 'villages passed through on the roads I wanted to go on.' namely the a roads. Bit of a pain - it worked on the way there superbly but went a different way home??? Will go back to the post on UKCS and have a go, see what happens... can't make it any worse! Gald u got the printer working! Of all computer add-ons, they are the worst to set up properly, never known a single one that wasn't a prob somewhere along the way. Jacki :-)
